About The Secret Of Hildegards
I went in expecting a standard hidden-object romp, but The Secret of Hildegards is actually a proper point-and-click adventure with real puzzle-solving. You're Abigail, poking around your family's estate to uncover what happened to your dad and the secret order he led. The pixel art has charm, and the puzzles demand actual thought rather than pixel-hunting busywork. It's short and doesn't reinvent the genre, but that works in its favor. No bloat, no inventory tetris, just a compact mystery you can finish in an afternoon. If you've got nostalgia for early LucasArts or Sierra adventures but don't want to commit to a 20-hour epic, this slots in nicely. Rough around the edges, sure, but earnest.
