GamerScout Verdict
For players who cherish obscure indie oddities and don't mind rough presentation if the premise intrigues them.

About The Other Side Of The Screen
I found myself drawn to The Other Side of the Screen because it swings for something genuinely weird: a multiplayer-feeling arcade game where you're always solo, piloting different contestants through their own nightmarish escape scenarios. The premise is lean and mean. Five characters, five wildly different level designs and difficulty curves. You pick one, learn its rules, and either find the exit or don't. The gore aesthetic is more intentional than gratuitous, serving the grim atmosphere rather than shock value. This is a rough-around-the-edges game from 2018 with no polish budget and zero Steam review chatter, which tells you everything about its obscurity and nothing about its heart. If you respect small indie acts of defiance, games that don't need to impress anyone except the player brave enough to load them up, there's something to respect here. It's not long, it's not famous, and it knows exactly what it is.
