You pick a career (craftsman, merchant, politician), manage production chains, bribe rivals, marry for alliances, and watch your dynasty age across generations. The systems actually interconnect, your blacksmith's hammer quality affects what price you can charge, which impacts your ability to undercut competitors. That's good design. The problem: the UI is clunky, tutorials gloss over critical mechanics, and the AI doesn't always respect its own rules. Multiplayer modes exist but feel bolted-on. If you're willing to wiki-dive and tolerate jank, there's a solid simulation underneath. It's not Crusader Kings, but it's not trying to be. Best for players who want emergent storytelling from spreadsheets and don't mind the rough edges.
