The Golf Club 2
A golf sim that lets you build and play your own courses, but the 2017 foundation shows its age against modern competition.
GamerScout Verdict
Pick this up if you want to build courses and play community designs more than chase ultra-realistic golf mechanics.

About The Golf Club 2
I went in expecting a solid course-builder with some decent golf mechanics, and The Golf Club 2 delivers on that promise if you're willing to look past the dated presentation. The course editor is genuinely fun - you can sculpt terrain, place hazards, and share your work with a community that's still active enough to keep the course library fresh. The golf mechanics themselves are arcade-friendly rather than simulation-heavy, which means you're not wrestling with wind vectors and lie angles for every shot, just focusing on timing and aim. The problem is that everything feels like a 2017 game now. Graphics are serviceable but uninspired, and the swing interface, while functional, doesn't have the polish of titles that came later. If you're after quick rounds and course creation rather than a full-featured golf sim, there's enough here to justify a look. Just don't expect depth that rivals modern alternatives.
