About The Best of MagiCats
I went in expecting a simple casual adventure, and that's roughly what The Best of MagiCats delivers. You're playing through cat-themed levels with a magic twist, collecting items and solving light puzzles. The art style has personality, and if you're into offbeat indie stuff, there's something endearing about the whole thing. It's the kind of game that doesn't overstay its welcome. That said, this is shovelware adjacent territory. Production values are thin, the writing is minimal, and the gameplay loop doesn't evolve much across its runtime. It's a "one sitting" experience if you're bored on a weekend. Not broken, not offensive, just forgettable. Budget price is the only real selling point here.
