The Adventurers
A lean turn-based tactical RPG that runs your party like a campaign ledger, where random events do more damage to your plans than any enemy does.
GamerScout Verdict
Worth it for tactics players who want campaign-level decisions over deep combat, if a shallow event pool won't bother you.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About The Adventurers
The best thing here is the event system, and it earns that spot by actually mattering. Random events in most tactical RPGs are flavour text with a small stat rider attached. In The Adventurers they reroute your run: a party member picks up a condition, a route closes, a payday you had budgeted for evaporates, and the build order you sketched three hours ago needs rewriting. That pushes the interesting decisions out of the individual turn and into the campaign layer, which is where I want them. Combat itself is straightforward turn-based positioning, competent rather than clever, and it works because it is fast enough to keep the open-world loop moving. What it is not is a deep systems sandbox. The high fantasy setting is stock, the tutorial assumes you already know what an action economy is, and by the back half of a run you will have seen most of the event pool, which flattens the exact thing that makes the early hours good. It is singleplayer only, no mod support listed, so replay value rests entirely on that pool. Come for a tight 20-hour legacy run, not a 200-hour obsession.
