Compare The 11th Hour prices across trusted key stores and find the best deal. Developed by Trilobyte Games. Published by Nightdive Studios. Released on 10/18/2013. Available on PC, Mac. Genres: Adventure.

A 1995 point-and-click adventure that's been gathering dust, literally, until this 2013 remaster. Expect pre-rendered gothic mansions, FMV cutscenes, and puzzle boxes that are sometimes clever, sometimes infuriating.

I picked up The 11th Hour expecting a nostalgic trip through 90s adventure gaming. It delivered exactly that: creepy Stauf mansion, journalist protagonist Robin Morales poking around 70 years after the original game's murders, and a heavy reliance on pre-rendered graphics that look like a time capsule. The puzzles are genuinely tricky in places, rewarding patience and lateral thinking. The atmosphere is genuinely unsettling when it lands. But here's the catch: the adventure is slow. Pixel-hunting for hotspots is relentless, dialogue can drag, and some puzzles feel arbitrary rather than clever. The remaster cleans up the visuals enough to make exploration tolerable, yet nothing new is added. If you lived through 90s adventure games, you'll recognize the formula and might tolerate its pacing. If you're new to the genre, modern adventure games do this better. Alex, Scout Team
