A neon-lit 6-hour platform-puzzler from one developer that trades difficulty spikes for atmosphere, and stops right before its ideas run dry.

Think Thomas Was Alone if it swapped the narrator for a synth arpeggio and put you on a timer. Both are minimalist, both build whole moods out of simple shapes and clean movement, but where Thomas leaned on writing to carry you, Take the Cake leans almost entirely on soundscape and precision. Ebenit's solo project drops you into neon corridors patrolled by robots and asks you to read the room before you read the jump. Environmental puzzles gate the platforming rather than decorate it, and the two halves stay in conversation: figure out the route, then execute it cleanly. It is low-key by design, closer to a chill flow state than a test of nerve. What it does not have is depth of variation. The robot enemies telegraph the same handful of patterns throughout, and the partial controller support is genuinely partial, which stings on the tighter jumps. Seventy percent positive across a small review count feels right: this is a modest thing that knows its own size. But it ends at the correct moment, the electronic score does real emotional work, and there is craft in every screen. That counts for a lot. Kai, Scout Team

Worth an evening if you want mood and clean movement over challenge; skip it if you need mechanical depth.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.

Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.
