Super Mustache
A pocket-sized retro platformer with genuine charm and a villain named Baron Von Stache - worth an hour of your evening if the NES era still lives rent-free in your head.
GamerScout Verdict
Best for retro platformer fans who want a cheerful, no-friction 3-hour session and do not mind a shallow ceiling.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

About Super Mustache
I have a soft spot for the tiny ones, the games that clock in under four hours, ask almost nothing of your hardware, and just want to make you smile. Super Mustache is exactly that kind of game, and I mean it as a compliment when I say it has no ambitions beyond being a clean, honest platformer that respects the genre's roots. You play as Captain Super Mustache, a mustachioed hero on a mission to save planet Uranus from the dastardly Baron Von Stache. The premise is pure Saturday-morning cartoon silliness, and the game leans into it without shame. The structure is straightforward: three worlds, fifteen hand-crafted levels, a chippy chiptune soundtrack, and controls you can remap to your liking. The pixel art is crisp in that modern-8-bit way where someone clearly spent time on each tile rather than just slapping a filter over stock assets. Enemies have personality - Mr. Bitey and Big Bad Red show up as named characters on the trading cards, which tells you everything about the tone the developer was going for. The laser gun adds a small range mechanic that keeps combat from being purely stomp-and-dodge, and the level traps require just enough attention to keep you honest without tipping into frustration. That said, a review has to be honest about the ceiling here. The game sits comfortably in the company of late-90s shareware - a TechRaptor reviewer put it plainly when they noted the title would still lose to Commander Keen in a direct comparison, despite the decade gap. The levels are short, sometimes two to three minutes each, and the overall playtime lands around three to four hours based on community data. There is no boss rush, no collectible hunting depth, no branching path. If you come in expecting a meaty indie platformer with modern quality-of-life features, you will finish it and feel the brevity acutely. Controller support is partial, so keyboard or a well-mapped gamepad is advisable. Where Super Mustache earns its mostly positive reception is in the cumulative pleasantness of the thing. The soundtrack has that specific fizzy quality that chiptune gets right when the composer actually cares - looping tracks that do not outstay their welcome because the levels do not outstay their welcome either. The whole game knows its length and paces itself accordingly, which is a craft choice I respect more than I probably should. It also exists on Android at no cost, which means the Steam version is essentially a pay-for-convenience and trading-card proposition for people who want it on their PC library shelf. At its regular price point, the value-per-hour math is genuinely favorable for what you get.
