About Super Button Soccer
I've seen a lot of sports sims try to be something they're not. Super Button Soccer doesn't pretend to be a tactics engine. It's a reflex-heavy arcade soccer game where you're hammering buttons to time passes, shots, and defensive blocks against human opponents or the CPU. The card collection system lets you build rosters with stat variations, so there's a mild deckbuilding angle if you squint, but matchmaking is thin and the online playerbase is functionally dead after 2016. Split-screen and local PvP still work fine if you've got someone on the couch. The mixed review score tells you everything: it's competent arcade fun for 20 minutes, then you hit the ceiling. AI opponents repeat patterns, the button timing gets predictable, and without active matchmaking, online ranked play is a ghost town. If you want a couch sports game to settle pub arguments, it does that job. If you're hunting depth or live competition, look elsewhere.
