About Steampunker
I spent a couple hours clicking around Steamburg's steampunk locales looking for objects tucked into cluttered scenes. Steampunker is straightforward hidden object fare - you get a list of items to find, you scan static screens, you move on. The steampunk aesthetic is the main hook here, all brass gears and industrial color palettes, and it's genuinely pleasant to look at. The game doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't, which I respect. That said, this is pure mechanical busywork. There's no narrative momentum, no puzzle-solving beyond "is this the wrench I'm looking for," and no real reason to keep going once the novelty of the theme wears off. If you're the type who finds meditative satisfaction in hidden object hunts and just want something chill and steampunk-themed to pass an afternoon, you'll get what you paid for. Everyone else should look elsewhere.
