Spy Fox 2 "Some Assembly Required"

I went in expecting the witty dialogue and intricate puzzles that made the classic Humongous Entertainment games special. What I got instead was a stripped-down casual experience that feels like it was designed for smartphones first and nostalgia second. The core adventure is there - you're stopping S.M.E.L.L.Y.'s dogbot scheme - but the puzzle design is gentler and more straightforward than you'd remember from the originals. The trading card system is the real head-scratcher. It doesn't meaningfully integrate into the main story and comes across as a monetization remnant more than a genuine gameplay feature. If you're hunting for that classic point-and-click adventure feel with real brain-teasers, this isn't it. It's serviceable for younger players or anyone after a light, low-stakes diversion, but longtime fans will find it disappointing.
