If you've watched Spy x Family and wished you could just hang out with the Forgers for a weekend, this delivers exactly that - nothing more, nothing less.

I'll be straight with you: I came to this one curious but skeptical, and left with a pretty clear read on who it's actually for. SPY×ANYA: Operation Memories is a cosy, low-pressure adventure built around photographing Anya and her family across ten outing destinations, from beaches to art museums, while filling a school photo diary. The weekly rhythm is the backbone of the whole thing - weekdays send you to Eden Academy for school interactions and evening family time, weekends open up outing spots where you wait for characters to strike a pose, line up your shot, and earn a rating. It plays more like an interactive picture book than anything the word "adventure" might suggest. The 17 minigames are where the personality lives. Some of them genuinely land - riding Bond in an endless-runner style chase is surprisingly fun, and using Anya's telepathy to read card hands in Tycoon is a clever nod to the source material. Training With Yor and Loid's stealth segment add light variety. But the spread is uneven. Some minigames feel padded to the point of irrelevance, and the overall difficulty is low enough that even younger players will rarely feel challenged. Each of the 17 has three difficulty levels and separate achievements, so completionists do have a reason to return, but it's honest to say the ceiling is not very high. The customisation system is the other genuine hook. Over 80 outfits, accessories, and hairstyles can be unlocked for Anya, Loid, Yor, and Bond through minigame points or the in-game raffle system, and dressing the Forgers up before an outing has a low-key charm that fans of the series will appreciate. The Deluxe Edition bundles in several exclusive outfit packs - the Thrilling and Excited Outfit Packs plus Anya's Bond Dress and Director Chimera Hat - which is meaningful if the dress-up side appeals to you. The structural problems are real and worth knowing going in. You can only take two photos per outing, which means revisiting locations multiple times before you can progress - a repetitive loop that the game never fully disguises. The weekday school sections cycle through the same interactions quickly and the narrative barely qualifies as a story, serving mostly as connective tissue between minigames. Critics and players both flagged the pacing as a sticking point, and they're right. This is a short-to-medium experience that feels stretched rather than shaped. Where it genuinely succeeds is atmosphere. The fully voiced cast, familiar locations, and wholesome tone make it feel like a filler episode of the anime that you happen to be clicking through. If you have young kids who love Spy x Family, or if you yourself want something completely stress-free to wind down with, it delivers on that specific promise without pretending to be anything bigger. Fans who don't know the source material at all should look elsewhere - the game assumes affection for the Forgers and doesn't do much to earn it independently. Alex, Scout Team

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.

Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.
