About Spencer
Spencer is a small-budget action-adventure that never made it to Steam, so it's stayed invisible to most PC players. Released on Xbox in 2018, it's the kind of title that punches above its resource constraints: straightforward combat, puzzle-solving that doesn't insult your intelligence, and level design that rewards poking around. It's not trying to be Dark Souls or reinvent the wheel. The dialogue and story are functional rather than memorable, and performance hiccups are real, but if you're comfortable with rough-around-the-edges indie work, there's a solid few hours here. Best suited for players who miss the era when action-adventure meant you could solve problems multiple ways and exploration mattered more than quest markers. Not a hidden gem in the "life-changing" sense, but a competent, honest game that deserves a shot if the premise clicks.
