Space Pioneer

Space Pioneer is a no-frills arcade shooter where you pilot a ship through waves of aliens and debris, rack up points, and try not to think too hard about story. It's the kind of game that knows exactly what it is: a sub-5-dollar way to spend an hour or two blowing things up. Controller support is solid, and the gameplay loop of dodge-shoot-upgrade is functional enough that it doesn't feel broken, just... thin. If you're hunting for a cerebral shooter or anything with depth, keep walking. But if you want something to half-pay-attention-to while listening to a podcast, Space Pioneer does the job. Don't expect bells, whistles, or reasons to care about your kill count. You will get aliens to shoot and a satisfying enough feedback loop to keep you clicking.
