About Sonic Colors: Ultimate Deluxe Edition
The store page pitches this as the complete way to play Colors, and on the base-game side that holds up. Ultimate is a real remaster of the Wii original: sharper visuals, the Wisp powers (Laser, Drill, Cube, Spike) still driving the level design, and Tails Save to take the sting out of a bad boss run. It runs well on PC, it supports full controller input, and the interstellar amusement park levels remain some of the breeziest Sonic platforming ever built. That part is not the question. The question is what Deluxe adds, and the honest answer is not much you will use. The extras skew toward cosmetics and shelf-filler: the Sonic aura and gold boost cosmetics, plus soundtrack and wallpaper style bonuses. None of it changes a level, adds a mode, or extends the roughly six-hour run. If you already love Colors and want the Baby Sonic aura on screen every second, fine. Everyone else should take the standard edition and put nothing more into it.
