Sometimes to Deal with the Difficulty of Being Alive, I Need to Believe There Is a Possibility That Life Is Not Real.
Ninety minutes of deliberate disorientation with a simulation label slapped on it. Push past the confusing first act or bounce off entirely.
GamerScout Verdict
Worth 90 minutes if you want a surreal art piece, not the simulation its genre tag promises.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Sometimes to Deal with the Difficulty of Being Alive, I Need to Believe There Is a Possibility That Life Is Not Real.
The first twenty minutes actively work against you. Controls feel loose, the low-poly world gives you almost no wayfinding cues, and the narration talks past you rather than to you. My instinct as someone who wants systems legible within five minutes was to quit. That instinct is wrong here. The disorientation is the design, and once you stop hunting for objectives and start treating the space as something to wander, the dark comedy underneath gets sharp and specific. There is no build order, no economy, no AI to outthink. Calling this Simulation is a genre-tag accident. What you get is roughly 90 minutes of surreal, narrative-driven walking, plus Steam achievements and a multiplayer layer that feels bolted on next to the solo experience. Remote Play Together works if you want a friend confused alongside you. The honest disappointment is depth: nothing rewards a second run, and no mod scene exists to extend it. Judge it as a short art piece and it lands. Judge it as a sim and you will feel cheated.
