I went in expecting polish and walked away finding something rawer and more interesting. Simulakros drops you into a hostile facility where every run is a fresh attempt to push deeper into CORP's territory. The gunplay is snappy - your arsenal includes classic shooter fare, and positioning matters as much as trigger discipline. Rogue-lite progression means permanent upgrades unlock between runs, gradually expanding what you can do. The rough edges are real. Visual fidelity is budget, level design feels recycled by design, and the learning curve can sting if you hate replaying the opening. But if you vibe with games that respect your time by making failure educational rather than punishing, this scratches that itch. Controller support is solid, and runs stay brisk. Not a revelation, but a genuine action game that knows what it is.
