Sideway: New York
A one-trick platformer where the trick is genuinely lovely: you live on walls as spray paint. Two hours of magic, then the camera starts picking fights.
GamerScout Verdict
Worth it as a two-player evening on the couch; solo players will meet the camera long before they meet the credits.
Compare Prices(3 stores)
Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Sideway: New York
The store page sells a city that becomes a canvas, and for the first stretch that is exactly what you get. You are a tagger flattened into paint, running along brick and billboards and fire escapes, hopping between wall planes as the geometry of New York folds around you. That plane-shifting idea is inspired, and the graffiti art direction carries it further than it has any right to go: a spray-can world with real linework and a strut in its animation. Where reality parts ways with the pitch is the camera. On the later screens, where a jump depends on reading which surface you are about to land on, it fights you instead of helping, and deaths start feeling authored by the lens rather than your hands. What rescues it is couch co-op. Split-screen, or Remote Play Together with a friend, and the perspective confusion turns into shared laughter instead of solo frustration. Short playtime, and honestly it knows to stop.
