GamerScout Verdict
Rough indie action-RPG that nails the boss-fight loop if you don't mind janky execution.

About Showdown Adventure
I went in expecting the worst from a 2016 indie action game with zero Steam reviews, and Showdown Adventure surprised me. It's a straightforward hack-and-slash with RPG progression, dual-wield combat, and a series of boss-focused encounters that demand pattern recognition and timing. The bones are there: you level up, grab better gear, and fight progressively tougher enemies. The problem is the execution feels loose. Hit detection can be forgiving to the point of confusion, animations don't always lock in, and difficulty spikes happen without warning. This is a game for players who don't mind rough edges if the core loop scratches an itch. If you love old-school action RPGs and have patience for a small indie swing, there's a weekend here. Otherwise, pass.
