Shiftlings

Shiftlings is a 2D cooperative puzzle-platformer built around a single mechanic: two characters who can swap bodies at will to exploit size differences. One tech stays small and nimble, the other inflates to solve weight-based puzzles and block obstacles. The campaign barrels through colorful, themed worlds with goofy charm and escalating environmental tricks, from ice slides to conveyor belts to launch pads. It's designed as a couch co-op game first, and solo play feels like a compromise you'll tolerate rather than embrace. The puzzles are forgiving enough that frustration rarely builds, but they also rarely spark genuine "aha" moments. What keeps it afloat is the personality: the writing is knowingly absurd, the character animations are exaggerated and fun to watch, and the whole thing moves fast enough that no single level overstays its welcome. If you're hunting for a breezy co-op experience that doesn't demand much brain power from either player, this delivers. If you're solo or looking for real puzzle meat, look elsewhere.
