About Shapes of Gray
Movement is the whole pitch here, and it's a good one. You are a gray shape with a sword, and every system bends toward keeping you dashing, slashing and repositioning at speed against waves of other shapes. Stripping the art down to flat silhouettes on flat backgrounds reads as a design decision rather than a budget one: threats are legible the instant they appear, so a death lands on your reflexes instead of on visual noise. What it doesn't do is give you much reason to stay. Enemy variety and the abilities you unlock keep the loop fresh for a couple of hours, but the arena rhythm starts repeating itself well before you run out of content, and there's little narrative or long-term progression pull to carry you past that wall. Played in short bursts on a PC you already have open, it's a clean little arcade game. Treated as an evening's main event, it thins out fast.
