Shadow Puppeteer
A two-controller shadow puzzler that only exists if you have a patient friend on the couch. Beautiful, brief, and janky enough to test that friendship.
GamerScout Verdict
Worth an evening if you have a patient couch partner and forgive clumsy controls for gorgeous shadow-play ideas.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Shadow Puppeteer
Before Shadow Puppeteer gives you anything, it asks for a second person. Not online, not a bot, not a hot-swap between characters: an actual human beside you, holding the other pad, willing to sit through fiddly platforming while one of you moves a boy through a storybook world and the other drags his shadow across the walls behind him. That is the whole idea, and when it lands it is lovely. Sarepta's light-and-shadow puzzles ask you to think in two planes at once, rotating lamps so a flat silhouette becomes a bridge, and the wordless narration and hand-drawn dark-fairytale look carry mood the writing never has to explain. The trouble is the execution under the art. Shadow movement is imprecise, the camera fights you in the tighter chase sequences, and a few puzzles fail on timing rather than understanding, which is the exact failure that sours a couch partner. It is short, maybe an evening, and I think it knows to end before the ideas run dry. Bring someone forgiving, treat the rough edges as part of the folklore, and it works. Play it solo and there is nothing here.
