GamerScout Verdict
For visual novel fans who want comedy over consequences and don't mind shallow mechanics as long as the banter is decent.

About Seven Days
I spent a couple hours with Seven Days expecting typical visual novel beats, and it mostly delivers on that front. You play Kanzaki, a high schooler cursed by a ghost who manifests as a physical girl you need to figure out how to exorcise. It's a premise that could go dark, but the game stays light and comedic instead, playing up the awkwardness of having a supernatural roommate you can't get rid of. The writing doesn't take itself seriously, which works in its favor when the central hook is this absurd. The problem is the game's scope matches its indie budget too closely. There's not much to do beyond reading dialogue and making a handful of choices that feel surface-level. No real puzzle-solving or strategy to the exorcism angle, just picking dialogue options until the story moves forward. If you're here for character banter and don't mind a linear, lightweight experience, Seven Days scratches that itch. Anyone wanting mechanical depth or consequential decisions should look elsewhere.
