Scribble Ships

Scribble Ships strips the shooter genre down to one gimmick: instead of weapons, you use your ship's color to neutralize monochromatic enemies. It's a 2D top-down arcade game that doesn't overstay its welcome. You pick a ship, dodge incoming fire, and paint enemies until they explode. The color-swap mechanic is clever enough to carry a few runs, and the visual style, minimalist, kinetic, weirdly charming, works in its favor. The catch is there's not much game here. No progression systems, no story, no depth to unlock. You're grinding high scores on essentially one loop. If you're hunting a zen arcade experience you can play in 15-minute bursts, Scribble Ships scratches that itch. Anyone expecting a full campaign or strategic layers should look elsewhere. It's a neat idea that knows exactly how long it should last.
