This is a singleplayer investigation game built around one location - an abandoned orphanage with a violent history - where you play as a detective piecing together what went wrong and, more importantly, who is responsible. The loop is classic point-and-click adjacent: explore rooms, collect evidence, manage an inventory of clues, and eventually point a finger at one of three suspects. The multiple-endings structure means your accusation has to be earned, not guessed. The mechanical heart is the deduction system. Three suspects - the caretaker, the cook, and the gardener - each have their own trail of evidence threading through the building. The game does not hold your hand through this. You are expected to read the environment, track inconsistencies, and commit to a conclusion. For a strategy-minded player, that framing lands well. It is closer to a logic puzzle than a horror experience, even if the setting leans hard into retro psychological horror aesthetics.
