Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time

I went in skeptical of another cartoon licensed game, but this one gets it right. Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time is a straightforward action-adventure that leans hard into the show's best strength: clever time-travel storytelling. You play through key moments across the series, fighting your way through each era with Jack's sword and a handful of unlockable weapons. Combat is satisfying if straightforward, dodge, slash, parry, repeat, without pretending to be a soulslike or anything fancy. The pacing stumbles a bit in the middle levels, and enemy variety feels thin, but the real draw here is the fan service done right. Familiar characters, that iconic art style, and genuine plot moments from the show make this feel like an interactive season you missed. It's not going to revolutionize action games, but for people who grew up with Jack, it delivers exactly what you want: a chance to step into his sandals and relive the fight against Aku across time.
