Revolution Editions - Shadow & Steel

I'm looking at a collection that feels less like a greatest-hits grab and more like someone actually cared about which version of each game you'd play. You get the Amiga renditions of Lure of the Temptress and Beneath a Steel Sky - games that defined Revolution Software's legacy - paired with the PlayStation versions of Broken Sword 1 and 2, which added voice acting and refinements the originals didn't have. If you've never played these, you're looking at some of the sharpest puzzle design and world-building the genre produced before it calcified into adventure-game cliches. The catch is that these are straight emulations, not remasters. That means blocky visuals, era-authentic interfaces, and the occasional obtuse puzzle that'll have you consulting a guide. If you're hunting for the bones of what made 1990s point-and-click adventure tick - the logic, the writing, the hand-drawn backdrops - this collection delivers without nostalgia tax. Everyone else can skip it.
