Remnants

I spent a few hours in Remnants expecting janky indie jank, and found something genuinely interesting instead. It's a first-person survival sim where starvation, dehydration, radiation, and toxic gas are real threats you actually have to plan around. Solo, co-op, PvE, and PvP modes all work, and the environmental design forces you to think tactically rather than just stockpile supplies. The core loop of managing survival meters while exploring is solid. What holds it back is the rough presentation and shallow progression. The world looks sparse, combat feels clunky when PvP kicks in, and there's not much reason to push deep into endgame. But if you want a no-frills survival experience where environmental hazards matter more than loot grinds, and you don't mind indie-scale production values, Remnants delivers on that promise. It's free, so the risk is your time, not your wallet.
