GamerScout Verdict
A fun premise undermined by repetitive gameplay and shallow progression; better as a novelty than a keeper.

About Rapture Rejects Key
I went in expecting weird indie charm, and Rapture Rejects delivers that in spades on the surface. You're a survivor in a top-down shooter defending yourself against religious apocalypse scenarios, which is refreshingly off-the-wall stuff. The art direction leans into that scrappy, hand-drawn indie aesthetic that caught my eye. But here's where it falters: the gameplay loop doesn't have enough meat on it to sustain more than a session or two. Shooting feels functional rather than punchy, enemy variety is thin, and progression doesn't give you much reason to keep grinding through runs. It's the kind of game where the premise is more interesting than actually playing it. Worth a quick look if you're desperate for something weird and cheap, but don't expect it to stick around in your rotation.
