QUBIC

I went in expecting nothing from QUBIC and came away pleasantly surprised by how much thinking it packs into such a stripped-down package. It's a casual puzzle game built around arranging colored blocks on a grid to clear rows and columns, with enough rule variation to keep your brain engaged without ever feeling stressful. The difficulty ramps gradually, and there's a satisfying click when a sequence resolves cleanly. It's not going to hold your attention for 40 hours, and the visuals are intentionally bare-bones. But if you want something low-stakes to fiddle with while listening to a podcast or waiting for a meeting, QUBIC delivers exactly that without pretense or bloat.
