PROJECTIONS

I spent a couple hours with Projections expecting a standard action title, and got something stranger and better: a game that actually respects silence. Combat is built on rhythm and counterplay, you attack when the moment is right, block when it isn't, and learn enemy patterns by watching, not grinding. It's short, deliberately paced, and has the feel of a conversation where both sides get a turn. The minimalist presentation and controller-focused design reinforce that vibe. It's not for everyone. If you want spectacle or progression systems, move on. But if you've ever appreciated a well-timed parry in a Souls game or found beauty in restraint over excess, Projections clicks into place. Wolfgun built something small and focused that knows exactly what it is.
