Potioneer: The VR Gardening Simulator
A 2016 VR garden-builder that trades strategy depth for relaxing plant-tending and base construction. Works best as a low-pressure sandbox rather than a goal-driven sim.

About Potioneer: The VR Gardening Simulator
I approached this expecting a mechanics-heavy gardening simulator, but Potioneer is fundamentally a room-scale VR toy. You plant seeds, tend crops, forage for wild plants, and gradually build a homestead with wood and basic tools. The appeal is tactile exploration and incremental progress, not optimization or complex cultivation systems. HTC Vive tracking makes interactions feel immediate, and there's genuine satisfaction in physically reaching to water a garden or swing a hammer. The catch: there's minimal feedback on what actually matters. Plant growth feels disconnected from your actions, building is rudimentary, and long-term goals are vague. As a passive, meditative VR experience it works. As a strategy-forward sim it falls short. Best played in short sessions without expectations. Diego, Scout Team
