About Poi
I went in expecting a lightweight indie platformer, and that's exactly what Poi delivers. You're chasing glowing collectibles across small, self-contained worlds with straightforward jumping mechanics and a visual style that leans hard into cheerful pastels. The level design keeps things short enough that failure doesn't sting, and the progression feels steady if not surprising. What it doesn't do is reinvent platforming or demand much from you mechanically. There's no difficulty spike, no hidden depth in movement tech, no reason to master the controls beyond getting from A to B. It's pleasant rather than thrilling, competent rather than clever. If you want a relaxing afternoon of 3D platforming without frustration, Poi fits the bill. If you're chasing the next Donkey Kong Country or tight movement mastery, look elsewhere.
