About Planet of Mubu
I went in blind on Planet of Mubu because there's almost no footage of it online, and that's telling. This is a small indie action-adventure about exploring alien environments and fighting creatures, built by a solo developer or tiny team with next to no marketing push. The core loop of combat, exploration, and survival on an unfamiliar planet has potential, but the execution feels unpolished. Hitboxes feel loose, the camera can betray you mid-fight, and there's not much hand-holding on what you're supposed to be doing or why. If you're the type who enjoys janky indie experiments and doesn't mind rough edges in exchange for quirky atmosphere and genuine weirdness, Planet of Mubu might surprise you. Everyone else should probably wait to see if it gets a major update or pass entirely. It's a game that needs players willing to forgive amateur-hour production in pursuit of something different.
