PAYDAY 3: Year 1 Pass
Four DLC packs bundled into one pass for PAYDAY 3's first year of content. More heists, more gear, but the base game's rocky reputation follows it here.

About PAYDAY 3: Year 1 Pass
PAYDAY 3 is a co-op heist shooter where you and up to three other players plan and execute robberies, cycling between loud, guns-blazing chaos and stealthy, methodical infiltration. The Year 1 Pass bundles the first wave of post-launch DLC into a single purchase, extending the base experience with additional heists, weapon packs, and cosmetic content released across the game's first year. If you are already committed to the PAYDAY 3 ecosystem, this pass is the most practical way to catch up on everything Starbreeze Studios dropped after launch without buying each piece individually. Now, I will be honest with you: I am primarily an RPG analyst, and PAYDAY 3 is not, in any meaningful sense, a role-playing game regardless of how the genre tags are categorized. There are light progression systems, skill trees, and build customization around weapon modifications and perk decks, which is probably why it gets filed under RPG on storefronts. The build variety is functional and gives you enough to think about in terms of loadout planning, but it does not reward the kind of deep character investment that RPG fans typically chase. Do not come here expecting narrative choices or dialogue trees. Come here expecting shouting at your friends while an alarm goes off because someone looked at a camera wrong. The mixed review score (sitting around 61 percent positive at time of writing) reflects a base game that launched with significant online infrastructure problems and a smaller heist roster than fans of PAYDAY 2 expected. The Year 1 Pass adds content on top of that foundation, but it cannot retroactively fix the rough launch period or the thinner moment-to-moment variety compared to its predecessor. If the base game did not hook you, a DLC pass is unlikely to change that calculus. The additional heists do introduce new environments and some genuinely clever stealth puzzles, which is where PAYDAY 3 is at its most interesting mechanically. For players who are already enjoying the base game and want more locations to rob and more loadout options to experiment with, the Year 1 Pass delivers exactly what it promises without much fuss. Just be aware that you are buying into an ongoing live-service title on Xbox platforms, and the long-term health of that service depends on factors outside any single content pass. The community is smaller than PAYDAY 2's peak, and finding consistent co-op partners is worth factoring into your decision. Monika, Scout Team
