This one is for Panzer Corps 2 owners who want the Axis Operations campaign chain from the ground floor, and it is a clean skip for anyone who does not already own Panzer Corps 2, because it will not launch without it. What you get is the 1939 chapter of the Axis Operations series: a scripted scenario run through the opening year of the war, with the core-unit carryover that lets your veteran divisions and their earned experience roll forward into later Axis Operations packs rather than resetting each campaign. That carryover is the whole argument. Played standalone it is a modest handful of missions; played as chapter one of a multi-DLC run, it is where your late-game core gets built, and starting anywhere else means inheriting somebody else's army. Slitherine's store listing carries the exact scenario roster. If you only ever play skirmish or the base campaign, nothing here changes your game.
