Panoptic [VR]
A local multiplayer VR asymmetry where one player hunts from a godlike overhead view while the other scrambles to survive in first-person. Niche, but genuinely clever.
GamerScout Verdict
Perfect for VR owners who have a competitive friend in the same room and want something genuinely different.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Panoptic [VR]
Panoptic is built on a simple but brutal premise: one player wears a VR headset and becomes the Overseer, seeing the entire arena from above like a digital panopticon, while the other plays on a regular monitor as the Challenger trying to avoid detection and complete objectives. The asymmetry is the whole point. The VR player has overwhelming information and god-like perspective but limited mobility. The PC player has speed and ground-level cunning but no idea where the Overseer is looking. This is a pure local multiplayer experience, so you need two bodies in the same room, two computers, and an HTC Vive. The concept works because it's genuinely tense when played with someone who knows what they're doing - the Overseer feels powerful until they realize the Challenger is faster, and the Challenger learns that raw speed loses to perfect vision. It's niche by design, and the lack of online play or AI opponents means it lives or dies on whether you have a willing co-player nearby. If you do, Panoptic scratches an itch that almost nothing else can.
