Painted In Blood takes the skeleton of a classic corridor shooter and dunks it in an artist's fever dream. You're moving through twisted, surreal spaces fighting distorted creatures, with dynamic horror events throwing curveballs when you least expect them. The retro FPS bones are solid - movement, gunplay, pacing all land where they should - but the real hook is how the art direction and environmental chaos make every encounter feel unsettling rather than rote. It's early access on PC, so rough edges are expected. The horror events work best when they surprise you, which means replayability depends entirely on whether you're into the aesthetic enough to run through the same gauntlet multiple times.
