GamerScout Verdict
Solid isometric combat with Slavic flavor, but repetitive grinding and a sparse community make it hard to recommend over alternatives.

About Pagan Online
Pagan Online rides on a solid premise: hack-and-slash through a Norse-tinged world where gods have vanished and loot is the new religion. The isometric view and real-time combat feel responsive enough, and the Slavic setting gives it visual breathing room compared to the hundredth European fantasy clone. Character builds exist, but they're straightforward rather than sprawling. Here's the catch: the game launched in early access and never quite escaped that feeling. The campaign loop is repetitive grind punctuated by boss fights that don't surprise. Multiplayer co-op exists but the playerbase is sparse, which matters when matchmaking is your main social hook. It's serviceable if you want a brainless evening of clicking monsters, but it doesn't do anything well enough to justify spending serious time here when Grim Dawn or Last Epoch offer deeper systems at the same price point.
