Outbreak: Endless Nightmares
A roguelike survival horror that doubles down on co-op dread over jump scares, repetition is the point, not the problem.
GamerScout Verdict
Essential for co-op horror fans willing to embrace repetition as a design feature, not a flaw.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Outbreak: Endless Nightmares
I've spent enough time in procedural horror games to know when one gets the fundamentals right. Outbreak: Endless Nightmares strips away narrative pretense and commits fully to what the title promises: you and up to three others spawn into randomized nightmare maps, scavenge for tools, and hold ground against waves of infected. It's deliberately repetitive by design, that loop of prep, encounter, collapse, and restart is where the tension lives. The local co-op angle matters; screaming at your couch-mates when the horde rounds a corner hits different than soloing. What keeps it from routine is the pacing discipline. Dead Drop Studios understands that horror needs breathing room, and they've built that into level design and spawn timing. It won't be for players chasing narrative catharsis or twitch-reflex setpieces. But if you want a survival horror that respects the work of playing it with friends, where communication and positioning matter more than reflexes, this is a rare find in the indie space.
