About Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm
Oceanhorn 2 wants three or four hours of your patience up front, and it spends them on tutorial hand-holding, fetch errands, and a companion who narrates puzzles you already solved. Push past that. The dungeons sharpen, the elemental magic (fire, ice, wind slotted into your caster gun) starts combining with sword-and-shield timing in ways the opening never hints at, and the knightly lore builds toward a dragon-shaped payoff that genuinely landed for me. This is Zelda-like in silhouette, not in depth. Progression is linear, combat stays simple past the first few bosses, and there is no build variety to speak of, so anyone who reads character sheets for fun should look elsewhere. What it does have is confident worldbuilding, clean traversal, and a story that respects your attention once it stops explaining itself. Play it on a controller, in short sittings, expecting a cozy weekend rather than a 60-hour obsession.
