GamerScout Verdict
A rough but earnest indie adventure; best for fans of weird, budget exploration who don't mind jank.

About Normality
Normality tasks you with reversing a sinister takeover of Neutropolis, a city that's been drained of color and hope. It's a scrappy action-adventure with low production values and clunky combat, but there's a genuine attempt at world-building underneath. The city itself is the draw, exploring a deliberately lifeless place to restore it gives the game a purpose beyond just punching stuff. Puzzles and light trading-card mechanics break up the action, though neither shines. If you go in expecting a polished 2015 release, you'll be disappointed. But for the cost, Normality offers a few hours of earnest weirdness, the kind of indie oddity that wouldn't get made today. It's not good, exactly, but it's distinctive enough to reward patience from players who like their games a bit rough around the edges.
