GamerScout Verdict
For modders and tinkerers only; the campaigns are filler, but the toolset is a relic worth exploring.

About Neverwinter Nights: Complete Adventures
I've got a soft spot for Neverwinter Nights because it does something most modern RPGs won't touch: give you the full toolset to create your own dungeons and stories. The Enhanced Edition holds up better than the original for technical reasons, and this Complete Adventures package bundles the base game with four campaign DLC modules (Infinite Dungeons, Wyvern Crown of Cormyr, and two others). The campaigns themselves are honestly dated and lean heavy on combat fetch-quests, but the real draw is the Dungeon Master mode and editor - if you've got the patience to learn the old-school toolset, you can build things. The engine feels its age. Graphics are barely passable even by 2018 standards, combat is slow, and the UI will frustrate anyone expecting modern ergonomics. If you're hunting for a narrative-driven RPG, look elsewhere. But if you remember fondly making Baldur's Gate mods, or you want to see how tabletop-adjacent game design actually worked before licensing died, this is the artifact for it.
