NAMCO MUSEUM ARCHIVES Volume 2
A stack of Famicom-era Namco ports wrapped in a solid rewind-and-save-state emulator. Great for preservation nerds, disappointing if you came for the arcade boards these games are famous for.
GamerScout Verdict
For retro archivists who want the NES-era Namco catalog preserved, not for anyone expecting the arcade originals.
Compare Prices(4 stores)
Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About NAMCO MUSEUM ARCHIVES Volume 2
For collectors who want the Famicom-era Namco library preserved with modern save states, this is a comfortable pick. For anyone chasing the arcade originals, walk away, because these are the 8-bit home conversions, not the coin-op boards, and that distinction changes everything. Xevious, Galaxian and Pac-Land here play like their NES versions: choppier scrolling, thinner sound, altered layouts. Once you accept that, the set is honest about what it is. The emulation wrapper does the heavy lifting. Rewind and save states turn Rolling Thunder and Battle City from quarter-eaters into something you can actually finish, and the stranger entries in the lineup are hard to play any other way in English. What's missing is context: minimal history, no meaningful extras, and a roster where two or three games are the reason you're here while the rest is filler you'll bounce off in ten minutes. Treat it as archive preservation, not a night of great games.
