I spent a couple hours with My Personal Angel expecting a typical visual novel arc. Instead, it's a quiet meditation on how people actually relate to each other - awkward, unclear, sometimes just standing in the rain together. The monochrome art direction works hard; it sets a deliberate, melancholic tone that could feel pretentious in color but lands genuine here. Conversations loop and circle instead of progressing in neat branches, which tracks if you're into literary fiction but demands patience if you're after traditional choice-driven storytelling. This isn't a game for everyone. If you want branching paths, romance routes, or dramatic payoffs, look elsewhere. But if you've ever enjoyed a book that's more about mood than momentum, or if visual novels like Saya no Uta spoke to you, there's something here worth finding. It's brief, it's strange, and it knows exactly what it's doing.
