I spent a couple of hours with Murders in Space expecting a straightforward murder mystery, and that's exactly what I got. You're confined to a space station, gathering clues, interviewing suspects, and piecing together who killed whom using observation and logic. The investigation tools feel tactile enough, and the pacing keeps you moving between areas without excessive backtracking. It's lean, purposeful detective work in a setting that feels appropriately isolated. The catch is that everything here is serviceable rather than exceptional. The interrogation system doesn't surprise you, the gadgets are functional puzzle-solvers rather than inventive tools, and the writing never quite grabs your attention. If you want a short, low-stakes mystery that respects your time and delivers a complete story without pretense, this scratches that itch. Don't expect revelation, just competent whodunit mechanics in zero gravity.
