The first hour is genuinely rough, and you should know that going in. Munchkin: Quacked Quest throws you into a cartoon dungeon crawl with floaty combat, a camera that fights you in tight rooms, and a scoring system that never properly explains why the duck who did nothing just won the level. The card game's whole joke is backstabbing your friends, and the video game buries that under a layer of generic hack-and-slash before it lets you kick a teammate into a spike pit. Push through two or three levels and the logic surfaces: loot, levels and kills all feed a race to be the strongest, and sabotage is the fastest route there. That makes this a very specific purchase. Local or online co-op with three people who already find betrayal funny is where it works, because the game supplies the props (monsters, curses, treasure grabs) and you supply the malice. Solo, there is not much here beyond repetitive room clearing and thin enemy variety, and the presentation leans harder on Munchkin references than on mechanical depth. If you own the card game and want a rowdy 90-minute session, it delivers. If you want a genuinely good action game, look elsewhere.
