GamerScout Verdict
Great for VR enthusiasts patient with ambitious storytelling; rough around the edges but worth the time investment.

About Moss: Book II
I went in expecting more of what made the first Moss work: intimate VR puzzle-solving with a memorable mouse protagonist. Book II doubles down on scale and spectacle, giving you larger environments to explore and more complex mechanical puzzles to untangle. The hand-tracking is fluid, the visual design is genuinely striking, and there are moments where the interplay between your controller movements and the character's actions feels genuinely clever. Here's the catch: the story tries harder than it needs to, piling on lore and emotional beats that don't always land. The pacing stumbles in the middle section, and some puzzle design leans more on obtuse trial-and-error than elegant problem-solving. It's not broken, but it's scrappier than the focused elegance of the original. Worth a playthrough if VR puzzle-adventures are your thing and you're patient with narrative ambition that doesn't quite stick the landing.
