You are hosting an incubus in a monster college and your "heat" gauge climbs whether you act or not, so every day becomes a small allocation problem: who do you flirt with, which ability upgrade do you buy, which route do you explore, and how much slack do you leave before the meter punishes you. That is more structure than the genre usually bothers with. The relationship tracks double as resource nodes, and the upgrade tree gives you real ways to bend the curve, which means a bad opening week is recoverable rather than fatal. Newcomers should not be scared off. The tutorial is light but the systems are legible within an hour. Where it thins out is the late game. Once you find the routine that keeps heat stable, the tension that made the first playthrough interesting evaporates and you are clicking through to unlock the remaining scenes. No mod support, no difficulty scaling, no reason for a third run. The 99 percent positive score comes from a very small, very self-selecting crowd, so read it as "this delivered what its audience wanted" rather than a general recommendation.
